For the Win!, the international b2b conference dedicated to game dev is introducing a special program on publishing this year, with an open call for all European indie teams to apply for pitching in front of publishers such as Raw Fury, Aurora Punks, Untold Tales, Bright Gambit, New Tales, Kando Factory and HeroCraft.
FOR THE WIN! rightly entered the calendar of the most notable European events for game dev professionals and became a new meeting point of the European gaming community.
Now already in its fourth edition, the highly international event will bring together game dev professionals from across Serbia and Europe on May 29th at mts Dvorana in Belgrade, Serbia.
Organized by the Serbian Games Association, for the first time the event will offer a chance for indie studios to pitch in front of some of the leading niche European publishers, as well as the audience of several hundreds of game dev professionals.
Titled GAME SLICE, the special program will feature shortlisted teams from the open call, as well lectures and a panel from the likes of Raw Fury, Aurora Punks, Untold Tales, Herocraft, Bright Gambit, New Tales and Kando Factory.
Games publishers usually take part in the financing, development, porting, marketing and distribution for a project they sign. They also can strike up a deal with a studio to develop a game according to an agreed brief, or based on an IP. The publisher then works closely with the game producer.
Serbian studios, especially the emerging ones, have had limited experience in working with international publishers, which this program aims to expand on. While looking at different aspects of publishing through thematic lectures and a panel , conference attendees will get to meet experienced publishing experts, while selected teams will receive their valuable feedback on their pitches, as well as their projects themselves.
All interested teams from Serbia, but also from anywhere in Europe, are invited to apply not later than May 15th!
A rich program of lectures, panels and workshops awaits you at FOR THE WIN! in Belgrade on May 29th at mts Dvorana, with more than 40 speakers from all over Europe speaking about development, production, marketing and other relevant topics, on several parallel tracks.
GAME SLICE will be the closing event of the day.
Among the companies featured at the event are some of the industry leaders from Poland, France, the UK, Croatia, Slovakia and Serbia, including CD PROJEKT RED, 11bit Studios, Unity, Outfit7, 3Lateral/Epic Games, Aurora Punks, Grindstone/Gamesfarm, Kando Factory, Chat3d, Old Skull Games, Ashnar Studios and many others. An almost full list of speakers is already available on the event website, with the full schedule coming in early May.
Game Marketing & Publishing Producer, Grindstone / Games Farm
After completing her studies at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts and Faculty of Political Sciences, Adriana obtained a Master's degree in Documentary Film Research, marking the onset of her career in the creative industries. Initially involved in film and television projects, her foray into gaming commenced nine years ago when she joined the trailblazers of the regional SEE scene, Mad Head Games.
Since then, Adriana has honed her soft and hard skills across various domains including marketing operations, publishing and release management, broadcasting and video production, performance marketing, content creation, and product and brand marketing management. Presently, she is a member of Grindstone and Games Farm, a boutique video game production and publishing company. Adriana has a profound interest in research areas pertaining to creative entrepreneurship, video
game law and copyright, creativity and social engineering, and building online communities.
Curiously, she finds fascination in the discourse surrounding console wars. Despite her extensive involvement in gaming, Adriana still remains uncertain
whether her entry into the industry was by chance or with good reason.
