For The Win! is a new & unique event in the European game dev space.
We call it a “b2b & stakeholder” conference.
We see it as the new meeting point for the European game dev community. 

It gathers gaming professionals from the wider regions of CEE, Adriatic, and the Balkans, as well as some of the leading European experts, decision-makers and game dev ecosystem stakeholders. A big part of the Serbian game dev community attends the event, of course, while speakers are coming from all over Europe, and the world. Since the second edition in 2023, students from local faculties are also welcome to attend the Shift2Games program track, especially tailored to them. 

All in all, around 500 people passionate about creating games gather at FTW!

For the Win! is generally envisioned as an invite-only event. 

The event is open to all SGA members, partners and affiliates from the game development industry, but also from other complementary industries and relevant fields, as well as from the extended networks of our partners and sponsors involved in the event. All of them are receiving direct invitations to register and attend. 

If you work at a studio that is an SGA member, ask your colleagues who are communicating with SGA about FTW! and express your interest to attend. Each member studio has a certain number of free passes for their employees, depending on their respective membership level. 

From 2024, in order to connect the community even better and keep an inclusive spirit, any other interested professionals or stakeholders can also potentially join the event by applying for the “wildcard” via the conference homepage. 

Students based in Serbia can also attend the Shift2Games track.

The official language of the event is English. 
The only exception may be particular lectures within the Shift2Games program tracks for students.

Registration is mandatory for all of the participants. 

If you are working at a studio which is an SGA member, or you are a partner and an SGA affiliate, then your organization, or you personally, will be receiving a direct invitation with the registration link. 

If you applied for a wildcard, you will be notified if the application has been approved, and you will receive the official registration form. More details on that are offered below. 

Please note that by applying for the wildcard you are NOT registered for the event. 

If you are a student, you will be receiving the registration link from your professors and faculties. If you are studying in Serbia and are interested in the event, but your faculty is not related to the SGA, feel free to write to us.

The opening keynote program at Bitef Theater is free admission, and is open to anyone interested.
No special registration is required for this event for those who are not already registered for FTW!

Wildcard, introduced in 2024, is a way for us to keep our event inclusive and to keep developing and connecting the local community. We are opening the opportunity for those who are present and active in our wider ecosystem, but who we do not already know or have a connection to, apply for a wildcard and get a chance to attend the event. 

However, wildcards are charged at 70 EUR.

The final deadline for submitting an application for the wildcard is May 17th 2024. 

Subject to availability, applicants will be notified if their respective applications are approved within a couple weeks from the submission of the wildcard application. Starting from May 1st, we will process all incoming wildcard applications on a weekly basis, and send out the notifications accordingly.

You will receive a notification email together with the main registration form, as well as payment details.
All that is left is to purchase your wildcard pass and join us. 

For The Win! is a free event for all those who receive a direct invitation to attend and register. 
Registration is mandatory for all of the participants. 

Wildcards, however, will be charged 70 EUR (this includes VAT & ticketing charges).
Wildcard holders will be notified about the purchase details directly by email. 

Yes. It is realized under the Shift2Games brand, which is SGA’s talent development platform.
Students are invited directly to attend. It is held in a separate venue.
Attendees of the general FTW! program may also follow the lectures in this track, if they are interested.

The idea is to provide attendees with an opportunity to receive free expert advice from different areas, such as IP, legal, UA, monetization, financing etc. You will be able to apply for your slots of choice during the lunch break, as well as during this two-hour slot. 

Each slot is about 10 minutes long, and your desired consultations are subject to availability, on a first come – first served basis.
However, we believe that our fine experts will be more than happy to share their insights with you also outside these slots, during the informal networking breaks.

As each year, there will definitely be a party to round up the second, main conference day! 

This time around, it will be hosted by Demagog Studio, who will present us their concept of “Powerpoint Music”, based on the sonic world of their games such as Golfclub Wasteland, The Cub and Highwater. The show will be premiering a couple of weeks prior to this at the A MAZE. Festival Berlin.

Entry to the KARMAKOMA club will be free for all For the Win! participants, while drinks are charged according to the club’s regular price list.
