For The Win! is a new & unique event in the European game dev space. It aims to bring together the Serbian, regional (WB/CEE) and pan-European game dev professionals, to introduce the Serbian talent to the world, and to be the receiving point of knowledge transfer coming from more experienced game dev ecosystems.
We used to call it a “b2b & stakeholder” conference. We dropped that tagline from 2025 onwards, and now we look at it in more general terms as a meeting point for European game dev professionals. But, we still have a program every year tailored to stakeholders and ecosystem organizations, where we connect and discuss the future of European gaming communities.
FTW! is a physical event, with only a few lectures being documented and published.
We see FTW! as the NEW MEETING POINT OF THE EUROPEAN GAME DEV COMMUNITY!
FTW! is a non-profit event, organized by a the Serbian Games Association, also a non-profit non-governmental organization, founded by Serbian game development companies.
The event is funded through partnerships and sponsorships, tickets sales and in-kind staff engagement from the SGA team.
All income from ticket sales is used to cover the production costs of the event.
FTW! gathers gaming professionals from the wider regions of CEE, Adriatic, and the Balkans, as well as some of the leading European experts, decision-makers and game dev ecosystem stakeholders.
A big part of the Serbian game dev community attends the event, of course, while speakers are coming from all over Europe, and beyond.
Since the second edition in 2023, students from local faculties, as well as juniors and those interested to get professionally involved with game dev, are also welcome to attend the Shift2Games program track, especially tailored to them.
All in all, more than 500 people passionate about creating games gather at FTW!
The official language of the event is English.
All game dev professionals, or any professionals from affiliated industries are welcome to get involved!
The event is also open to all SGA members, partners and affiliates from the Serbian game development industry. SGA member studios are receiving free passes to the event as part of their annual membership perks. If you are working at a studio that is an SGA member, ask your colleagues who are communicating with SGA about FTW! and express your interest to attend.
Relevant stakeholders and ecosystem organizations are receiving direct invitations.
FTW! used to be an invite-only event, but since 2024, in order to connect the community even better and keep an even more inclusive spirit, any interested professionals can join the event by purchasing a ticket via our website and attending.
Students, juniors and other interested individuals based in Serbia can also attend the Shift2Games track – which is for free. This track is also open to all conference ticket-holders.
Both the registration and ticket are mandatory for all of the participants wishing to attend the event.
You need to register during the process of ticket purchase, or while you are redeeming your free ticket with a promo code you may have received from the SGA or your studio/company.
If you are working at a studio which is an SGA member, or you are a partner and an SGA affiliate, then your organization will be receiving a direct invitation with promo codes which enable you and/or your colleagues to redeem your free tickets. In case that the number of promo codes you received is not enough, you can always purchase additional tickets.
If you are a student or a junior just starting, or working in another industry and you are interested to hear more about working in game dev, you will be able to attend the Shift2Games track, for which a separate registration is also mandatory and will be published closer to the event.
For The Win! is, since 2024, a charged b2b professional event. The first two editions (2022 & 2023) were free of charge and invite-only.
In 2025, the regular ticket price is 69 EUR, which includes mostly all taxes and ticketing fees.
The early bird ticket offer will be valid for the first four weeks from the ticket sales launch, and the price will be 49 EUR (incl. mostly all taxes and ticketing fees). Early bird tickets are limited, and available until sold out, or until the early bird period runs out.
FTW! does not offer any “VIP” or special ticket tiers, and opts for a simpler, down-to-earth and inclusive event.
GAME SLICE is our special program this year, dedicated to the topics of publishing, self-publishing and everything to do with getting your game out there. We will bring together representatives of several European publishers, as well as indie studios, industry veterans and those who are doing it all on their own.
The program will have two modules: the first will be made out of several short lectures related to these topics, as well as a panel. The second, and the more fun part for the audience, will be the pitching session for selected indie teams, who will present in front of experienced publisher representatives.
All interested teams, not matter where they are coming from, will be able to apply via the open call which will be announced in early April.
Shortlisted teams will get a chance to pitch in front of the publishers , receive free tickets to the conference for all of their team members, and get valuable feedback on their pitches and projects.
Spoiler alert – there will be no prizes and awards, just pure FEEDBACK & LOVE, from the jury and the audience alike.
All ticket holders are entitled to participation in this special masterclass with Felix Balmonet, taking place one day before the official conference program.
However, places will be limited, and in case of high interest, we will use the “first come first served” principle.
There will be separate registration link on the conference website closer to the event.
Yes, we will as each year organize a part of the program dedicated to stakeholders and ecosystem-related topics. In 2025, this program will be invite-only, and will take place in one of the smaller rooms at our venue.
We will strive to bring together local, regional and European startup ecosystem players and decision makers, and will focus on the topics of incubation and acceleration in the context of emerging game dev ecosystems.
If you are interested to take part but are not part of the SGA partners and affiliates network, do not hesitate to get in touch via email – ftw@sga.rs.
Yes. It is realized under the Shift2Games brand, which is SGA’s talent development platform.
Students are invited directly to attend. It is held in a separate venue.
Attendees of the general FTW! program may also follow the lectures in this track, if they are interested.
We are not sure yet 🙂
If we decide to drop a surprise party at the end of the day, we will notify all ticket holders and participants.
Of course, in the spirit of game dev, everyone is encouraged to continue networking and net-drinking after the official program comes to an end.
